When I first came to Dr.’s Siddiqui, I had been in the Broadway company on The Lion King for several months. The physical rigors of the show were unlike anything I had ever experienced, and I was not getting a grip on maintaining my body’s health. Several months into the show, all of the cast members received gift certificates to the Esprit Wellness for a massage. I gladly took them on this generous offer.
As I stood in Dr. Siddiqui’s office, it was clear to both of us that my posture was a big problem for me. My head tilted forward at an angle and what should have been the normal curvature of my neck, lacked this curve. X-rays confirmed Dr. Siddiqui’s diagnosis of several subluxations and it appeared to him that many of my spinal problems had been with me for many, many years. Dr. Siddiqui asked me if I’d been involved in an accident as a kid and I explained that I had in fact been hit by a car while riding a bicycle when I was 10 years old. This explained HOW my body came to be the way it was…the question now was what to do about it!
