Ahmed Abdelmoamen is a Board certified NYC physical therapist in the state of New York with a Doctorate degree in physical therapy. Dr. Abdelmoamen focuses on conditions of the spine, including scoliosis and on injuries to the shoulders, hips, knees, elbows, wrists, ankles, and feet. He is a dedicated physical therapist offering more than 25 years of experience.
Dr. Abdelmoamen’s experience consists of being the head of the Physical Therapist Department in United Cerebral Palsy of New York as well as in San Elizabeth Ann Health care and Rehabilitation Center. He has worked closely with patients for the evaluation, treatment, and education for acute-care and post-operative (total hip replacement, total knee replacement, spine surgery). Dr. Abdelmoamen collaborated with physicians, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, nursing, social work, and neuropsychology in providing comprehensive rehabilitation services for adult and geriatric patients.
As the head of the PT department, Dr. Abdelmoamen was responsible for the management and treatment of about 15-20 patients per day, supervision of support staff, documentation of services, correspondence with physicians, equipment assessment, and fitting. The patients’ treatments included manual therapy, therapeutic massage, joint mobilization, traction, stretching, strengthening, soft-tissue mobilization, and exercise instruction. Having worked with numerous patients, Dr. Abdelmoamen offers an outstanding integral wellness care for all his patients.
Dr. Abdelmoamen received his Bachelor Degree of Physical Therapy from the University of Cairo, Egypt in 1985. He received his Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania in 2009.
