As Co-Founder of Esprit Wellness and Chief Healthcare Strategist for ScoliSMART NYC & ScoliSMART International, she is redefining what it means to heal—making the process more integrated, more measurable, and more empowering for patients and families alike.

Since launching Esprit Wellness in 2005, Marlene has led its transformation from a chiropractic practice into a fully integrated functional health destination. Today, Esprit is known for its unique blend of evidence-based care, advanced diagnostics, and compassionate team culture—supporting patients with scoliosis, chronic pain, postural dysfunction, athletic recovery, and long-term wellness goals.

Her philosophy is simple: healing should be visible, trackable, and deeply personal. That’s why every treatment plan is tailored, every outcome measured, and every patient treated as a true partner in care.

Innovating Non-Surgical Scoliosis Treatment

At ScoliSMART, Marlene spearheads the clinical expansion of a non-surgical, whole-body approach to scoliosis care. She works closely with licensed clinicians to integrate neuromuscular retraining, functional rehab, genetic testing, and nutritional support into every care plan—ensuring that interventions are as unique as the people receiving them, whether they’re adolescents in growth or adults managing chronic symptoms.

Her leadership helps ensure that patients don’t just receive care—they understand it, trust it, and feel fully supported throughout the process.

Building Seamless Patient Experiences

Before founding Esprit, Marlene led patient experience operations at Equinox’s flagship location in New York City, overseeing fitness, therapy, spa services, and front-of-house systems. That experience shaped her belief that great care should never feel fragmented—and that healing starts with the details. She later built a formal partnership between Equinox and Esprit, giving patients access to elite-level fitness and recovery resources as part of their clinical journey.
