At CLEAR Scoliosis Treatment Center of New York, we know that treating patients with scoliosis is not simply a matter of shifting their bones and rebuilding their muscles. Like any disease, having scoliosis can impact a person on a deep emotional level, and while most patients’ reasons for starting with the CLEAR Scoliosis Treatment Center of New York are physical, it’s not uncommon for these emotions to rise to the surface during scoliosis treatment.

Even looking at that initial scoliosis x-rays can be emotional. For many patients, this is the first time they’ve seen their spine and all its curves since their diagnosis, which may have been many years ago, and was surely an emotionally charged time for them and their family.

Now you are confronting your condition directly, perhaps for the first time in many years. We understand what a potentially large feat this is for our patients, especially if their scoliosis has become the “thing we don’t talk about.”

Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue to explore the physical process of treating scoliosis, but we’ll also be opening the discussion to the emotional life that can accompany it.

Know that we are on your side and we understand the complexity of what you are going through. In our office, we choose to focus on the health you are moving into, rather than dwell on the hardships you are moving away from.

We’re always here to share a laugh with you, to listen to your stories and to answer your questions.

And… no one is more ready to celebrate your progress with you than we are.

Be Well,
